חדשות שבוחנות מזווית אחרת את הנושאים והערכים בהם התעסקה אילנה מאז ומתמיד. תוך שימור האמורפיות והאימפולסיביות שממשיכים לאפיין את עבודותיה, בחרה אילנה לעבוד לאחרונה עם חומרים חדשים שמגלמים בתוכם תוכן ולוקחים חלק אינטגרלי ביצירה. בין אם זה עץ שכתמיו, שבביו ועיניו מעצבים את תווי הדמויות ומנוצלים לטובתן, עץ משומש, ארגזים, לוחות משחק ודלתות שמאחוריהן סיפור שכופה עצמו על היצירה או קנבס צבוע, שמאפשר לדמויות להיטמע בו, לאבד צורה ובכך נותן מקום למתבונן בהגדרת היצירה, יותר אפילו מזה שניתן לו ביצירותיה המוקדמות של אילנה, שגם קסמן טמון בכך. לצד אלו, יצירות חדשות בצבעים בוהקים ודומיננטיים, המשך טבעי לתהליך המתמשך שעוברת אילנה כאמנית.

Ilana Gal - Colorfulness

Art Market is proud to host Ilana Gal’s new exhibition, in which, alongside earlier paintings, new works that portray Gal’s re-exploration of her original artistic values and subjects will be celebrated. Whilst maintaining the amorphousness and impulse that continue to characterize her works, Ilana recently chose to use new materials, that have their own content and are an integral part of each piece. Whether it’s wood, with imperfections that mold the characters and are utilized as features, used pieces of wood - doors, game boards and boxes with a background story that forces itself onto the work or colored canvas, that allows Ilana's iconic characters to be embedded in it and lose structure, thusly giving more room to the viewer in defining the work. Additionally, new, bright and colorful works will be presented, a natural continuation to Ilana's artistic journey.
